Don't Forget!

I'm reading at the Bowery Poetry Club, as part of a fundraiser for Spire Magazine. This Monday, June 27. It starts at 5:30 but I'll probably be going on about 6:15. If you come to the reading and mention dead_kitty to me, you'll get a Free copy of my chapbook, Safe Word, since I'm getting rid of old copies and going to make a new edition. Directions below:

The Bowery Poetry Club | 308 Bowery, New York, NY 10012 | Foot of First Street between Houston & Bleecker
across the street from CBGB | F/V train to Second Ave | 6 train to Bleecker | 212-614-0505

I just ordered a copy of Discont Heaven, I'm really looking forward to reading it.

Hope it went well. :)

Well. Well, not really, because no one showed up so the only audience was the other readers, and the mike wasn't working right so no one heard me. Although, otherwise, fine.

Awwww...poor thing. That sucks.
:(

I'll be sure to let you know when the contest starts. If you have any writing contest ideas, let me know. (I have a few, but am open to any other suggestions.) :)

Christine...Fathers is an excellent idea! You really should join our team! I'm going to plan on using that theme and get the thoughts on paper. Grazie and Hugs!

This pisses me off, though it's happened to me. No audience, I mean. I am taking a year off from reading, and I'm practicing being a good audience. Poets are a dime a dozen, but audiences are a thing of great beauty. That's my new poetry job...being there and listening. I'd come to hear you any time. Hurry up and come to Seattle.

reader -- okay, next time I'll send you a personal invite so you don't forget.

Cherilyn -- I'm glad you liked my suggestions. As for joining another team, I'm all joined out right now! But I can chip in with ideas now and then if you like.

Rebecca Loudon --- Hmmm. Seattle. I've got a history there, a history I'm trying to avoid. But I might still come.

I, too, have a history here I'm trying to avoid. Several of them, in fact.

Rebecca -- let's hope we're not avoiding the same histories, but you know, history repeats itself...(rim shot) Hey, someone just quoted one of your poems on livejournal, a very nice piece on Miss October. You're world famous.
